Welcome Message

Welcome to the website of 2012 IHPST in Asia Conference. The Conference is going to be held at Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, South Korea, 18-20 October, 2012. This is the first time that Asia has a regional IHPST conference and it is our honor that Seoul holds the first regional conference of IHPST. Seoul, the capital city, has been at the center of a nation where both traditional and modern cultures coexist. We are sure that you will enjoy Korea’s ongoing preservation of traditions yet modernity, dynamics, and excitement.

The theme of the Conference is "Exploring Science: Contributions from History, Philosophy and Education of Science." It is hoped that two academic traditions, the history and philosophy of science and science education, are meaningfully and truly integrated in the conference through active exchange of ideas, research results and expertise of the both sides.

We sincerely hope that 2012 IHPST in Asia will be a place where one can share research interests and build relationships with colleagues. We look forward to meeting you in Seoul in October 2012.
